Pop star Tinie Tempah launched his debut fashion line, Disturbing London, on Wednesday afternoon. The rapper was at Selfridge’s for the launch of the clothing line, which he describes as “Americano”. He teamed up with designer Maharishi for this line, working with their top line brand MHI. Tinie said he wants to “collaborate with other brands”, as he continues to develop Disturbing London. He also revealed he’s collaborated with Nike on a blazer which will be released around the start of the Olympic games. He describe the jacket as “absolutely awesome”. The name of the brand, Disturbing London, which he uses as a lyric in hit track Pass Out, is actually the name of his record label, who have grown as he has. He explained they are now involved in publishing and have a management company. Source: http://www.itn.co.uk |

Tinie Tempah says he is going ”back to basics” with a more ”raw, underground” sound on his next album. Tinie Tempah is going ”back to basics” on his new album. The ‘Pass Out’ hitmaker has promised the record, which is provisionally titled ‘Demonstration’, will have a more ”raw, indie, underground” sound than his 2010 debut ‘Disc-Overy’, and admitted he is particularly excited by a collaboration with Dizzee Rascal. He said: ”I’ve got something on there with Dizzee Rascal, which is amazing. I’ve been listening to Dizzee since I was 12years old so that means a lot to me. I’m really, really excited about that. ”It’s very hard, it’s very grimey. It’s the complete opposite of what people would think we were gunning for. When I played the instrumental to Dizzee he was like, ‘Thank god you didn’t try and get me on something that you want to make a big hit.’ ”It’s very indie and underground and raw. I’m just taking it back to the basics.” Tinie also revealed he has teamed up with Calvin Harris for a big dance track after being thrilled by the response to his 2010 collaboration with Swedish House Mafia, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’. He added to Capital FM: ”I think it was really nice the magic that ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ created, it opened up a different side to my music and took me to places that I never, never thought I’d be with the Swedish House Mafia. ”So I kind of wanted to replicate that excitement again but even bigger and even better.” Source: Contactmusic.com |

Tom Tyler Wants Tinie Tempah Collaboration |

Tom Tyler wants to collaborate with Tinie Tempah and the Dixie Chicks. The singer/songwriter has teamed up with Marli Harwood for new single ‘Silence’ but is already looking ahead for future duets to add a new twist to his sound. He said: ”I always wanted to have one of my tracks remixed and rapped over. There is a lot of rich music in these songs that would be a great support for the right rap artist to work some rhymes over. So I reckon Tinie Tempah would be the right man for the job.” As well as Tinie, Tom would love to indulge in his love of country music by teaming up with one of his other favourite acts, the Dixie Chicks. He added to BANG Showbiz: ”It’s a bit of guilty pleasure, but I would love to team up with one of the top country artists in the US, perhaps the Dixie Chicks. ”I love the way they weave simple story telling and humour into their music and they have angelic voices and perfect harmony which is something I’m in really respect. Maybe I get them both together for a country-rap-pop rock mashup?” Tom’s single, ‘Silence’, featuring Marli Harwood, is released on April 23. |

Behind The Scenes of The R.I.P Music Video |

We don’t get an opportunity to see much of what will eventually be ‘R.I.P.’ in the clip, but what we do get is Rita and Tinie bringing what’s on record— namely, their chemistry — to the screen. “Tinie always looks good on camera,” Rita says of her co-star. “He’s got them jaw lines, he’s got that face structure … He came to show me love and I’m so grateful.” For his part, the Nigerian MC embraced the moment. “This is a really massive look,” Tinie says. “I’m enjoying it.” Dipped in a fusion of high fashion and nu-grunge, in what appears to be a noticeably long day of shooting, Ora sings on top of a car and busts out some moves in an elaborate dance sequence. “This video was sick,” Rita says. “And we finally turned it into a reality.” Directed by Emil Nava (Jessie J, Ed Sheeran), ‘R.I.P.’ will be an elaborate affair when it’s finished. “We’ve got this half car, so it kind of looks like it’s submerged in the ground,” Vana explains. “We’ve got this cube that we’re kind of filling with red smoke. We’ve got this like, mad wall made from this concrete kind of block.” We’re anxiously anticipating its release. |

The ‘Last Time’ star tells Capital FM that the pair are discussing their next project. Labrinth has revealed that he is set to work with Tinie Tempah again. The singer, who unveiled the video for new single ‘Last Time’ last month, said the pair had discussed working together during a recent phone conversation. Labrinth famously produced Tinie’s breakthrough hit ‘Pass Out’, as well as ‘Frisky’ from his debut album ‘Disc-Overy’. Speaking to Capital FM, he said he was still in regular contact with the ‘Written In The Stars’ rapper, who is set to release his second album ‘Demonstration’ later this year. “He came to me and he asked me to work on a record. We’re going to get in the studio very soon, so you’ll probably hear some fresh new stuff from us,” Labrinth said. “We have been missing each other quite a bit. He called me the other day and was like, ‘I’m so proud of you’. “He said he saw the video [for 'Last Time'] and was like, ‘Bro, this is amazing’. He’s very, very supportive, so hopefully we’re going to get back in and make some fresh new stuff.” Labrinth releases ‘Last Time’ on 18th March, followed by his debut solo album ‘Electronic Earth’ in April. New Order And Tinie Tempah Remake ‘World In Motion’? Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments

New Order could team up with Tinie Tempah for a remake of their classic song ‘World In Motion’, according to reports – although Dizzee Rascal will not appear on the track. The recently-reformed Manchester legends first recorded and released the track for the 1990 World Cup and, according to The Sun, were sizing up a potential collaboration with the two rappers as the soundtrack to England’s exploits at the European Football Championships this June. “A couple of years ago New Order and the record label came within 24 hours of doing the song with Dizzee,” said a source. “It never happened but it’s different this year – New Order are back together and Dizzee’s free.” “Tinie’s been approached, too, so Dizzee has some competition. There’s an idea to get them both on board – it could be massive.” However, Dizzee’s representatives have now told NME that the reports are “untrue”. Representatives for New Order, meanwhile, were unable to confirm whether they would be re-releasing the track. The band are set to tour the UK in April and May of this year, and will also be one of the headliners for this year’s Bestival. |
